Özet (EN)

Today, after the period of Cold?War, there are identity?based discussions are seen around the world. Turkey is also one of these countries where the discussions more common than others. But, Turkey has some differences in the context of their own conditions. Because, from an historical perspective, these kind of discussions are not new for Turkey. Especially, from last two century of the Ottoman Empire to establishment of the Republic, Turkey has been in a crisis of identity. Although solutions have been developed during this period, there was very difficult to meet some rational determinations/diagnosises.In the 21st century, in Turkey, although there were many identity?based discussions in different areas, focused on two of them: Turkish and Kurdish identity. And there are three factors seems to give different aspects the discussions. First of them, the process before and after establishment of the Rebuplic of Turkey. Secondly, in addition to being an ?identity? issue, it has international importance as ?Kurdish problem?. Last of them is, Turkism and Kurdism streams that makes the discussions more complicated (connected with the first aspect). In this study, some determinations/diagnosises from different perspectives about this issue will be explained.
