The representation of the power in close relationships from the perspective of interpersonal attraction: An analysis of Superman movie series

The main purpose of this study is to reveal inseperatable existence of essential elements that comprise the basis characteristics of the indivulasition process. This elements consists with free will and acceptence which creates power and attraction in close relationships. The condition of this study aims to demonstrate that the social realtions and social values arise with social comparision. That for, not only this study but also the research part of it arises with compares key concepts of the social relations. The research method of this thesis is Claude Levi Strauss' structural analysis method and Greimas' structural equalition. With this methodologies, power respresentation in close relationship questioning with a a first example of superhero myth in cinema which is Superman series. The universe of this thesis contains seven movies of Superman series that Superman stands in the lead role. In this seven movies, according to Greimas' structural categorization, power, order, desire and communication relations investigated. In conclusion, it is shown that as a characteristics, gaining power has a direct influence interpersonal attraction in close relationships.
