Investigation of the serological results of cystal ecnococcosy in patients with the genotype relationship between serial analysis results

Objectives: To be able to plan a cystic echinococcosis (CE) treatment protocol, the diagnosis must be made early and reliable. In the case of KE, all serological diagnostic methods known today are utilized. At the end of the nuclear, mitochondrial studies, 10 genotypes (G1-G10) of E. granulosus were initially identified. Some species have been grouped under the same title with the last molecular studies. Suvan virulence, parasite genotype is important in the development of the disease. In our study, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between specific antibody titers obtained by ELISA and sequence analysis results. Materials and Methods: Serum specimens obtained from patients who were treated with KE in Manisa Celal Bayar University Hospital of Hafsa Sultan and Ege University Hospital or who were subjected to Puncture Aspiration Injection Respiration (PAIR) treatment, as well as protozoa and cyst membranes of cyst fluid were collected. DNA Isolation, Electrophoresis, PCR and Sequence Analysis were performed. Seropositivity of IgG sera of the same patients was determined by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. Findings: Serological and molecular findings were similar in the study. Results: Serological and molecular outcomes were compared and it was found that Echinococcus granulosus sensu stricto G1 / G3 was the causative agent in all patients. Our study is unique in terms of a serological survey of genotypes and clinical outcomes. Key words: Echinococcosis, serology, sequence analysis, ELISA, PCR
