Abstract (EN)
Turkish music has a musical tradition with rich and diverse historical roots. The taksim form, which is an important part of this tradition, is in the wordless free form music class in Turkish music. Taksim is a form in which sazens improvise their instruments. Division may be based on a specific authority or procedure, or it may be completely free. The performer usually concentrates on a certain makam or melodic structure and performs taksim by developing this melodic structure. In the Taksim form, the artist reflects his acquired knowledge and mastery of his instrument into his performance. This study was conducted on the examination of 9 taksims performed by İbrahim Efendi, who introduced the clarinet instrument to Turkish music and was the first Turkish music clarinet player. In the study, a descriptive research model was used among scientific research methods. This study is intended to guide Turkish music clarinet players and Turkish music researchers and to be a written resource. After Ibrahim Efendi's taksims were notated, they were examined and analyzed on mode and performance technique. The notated taksims are in the modes acemaşiran, hicaz, hicazkâr, 2 hüzzam, kürdilihicazkâr, rast, segâh and simple sûzinak. It has been determined that the 9 taksims performed by the clarinet player İbrahim Bey were performed according to the understanding of Turkish music maqam, and in these taksims, the clarinet style of the clarinet player İbrahim Bey is still used today and the melodic sentences he created have been transferred to the present day. By adding a QR code to the taksim notes in the study, it was possible to listen to the taksims.
