Özet (EN)
The history of glass production, its structural characteristics and technologies are not well known in Anatolia from the Middle Ages until the Industrial Revolution. The reason for this is the lack of systematic work in this regard. Only a limited number of works carried out to date have examined and evaluated the visual characteristics of the glass finds belonging to the Seljuk and Ottoman periods with archeology and art history methods, but these finds have not been evaluated in fine art expertise. The subject of this researchis to investigate the gypsum vitrails belonging to the Classical Ottoman Period, made between 1500 – 1600, to examine them in the context of glass art and to apply the traditional motifs and techniques through modern methods The originality of the subject has been chosen by searching the literature. Art works in the traditional structure, which is a cultural heritage, are rarely considered to be studied in the context of glass art. In this context, it is aimed that this research will contribute to future researchers and shed light in the historical examples of the works produced.
