Özet (EN)
Acinetobacter baumannii is an important pathogen that can develop multiple resistance to antibiotics that cause hospital infections and epidemics. In this study, Gaziantep Determination of antibiotic resistance status of A. baumannii strains isolated from patient samples in various clinics of Dr. Ersin Arslan Training Research Hospital in one year period. Class D beta-lactamase (OXA-23, OXA-24, OXA-51, OXA-58) resistance genes aimed to investigate by PCR method. Therefore, in our study between June-2016 June-2017, connected to the Union of Gaziantep Public hospitals, 157 A. baumannii strains isolated from clinical specimens in the central laboratory of Dr. Ersin Arslan education and research hospital were identified with BD Phoenix ™ (BD Phoenix™ ID & AST System. USA) and antibiotic susceptibility was determined. The sensitivity of 50 strains is determined to be resistant to imipenem and meropeneme by the automated device was evaluated by disc diffusion and Gradient strip method. The same strains, gene regions blaOXA-51, blaOXA-58, blaOXA-23 ve blaOXA-24 that caused carbapenem resistance were investigated genotypically by PCR method. By the automatic system antibiotic resistance when looking at resistance rates of 157 A.bauumannii isolates status were determined. Amikacin 113 (72%), cefepime 148 (94.3%), ceftazidim 148 (94.3%), cefriaxon 155 (98.7%), gentamycin 139 (88.5%), imipenem 145 (92.4%), meropenem 142 (90.4%), netilmisin 153 (97.5%), piperacillin 149 (94.9%), piperacillin tazobactam 149 (94.9%), tigecycline 89 (56.1%), trimethoprim sulfamethazole 126 (80.3%) were found. Minimum resistance rate of 5 (3.2%) with strain was observed to be colistin. OXA-51 and OXA-23 genes were positive in all isolates. OXA-24 was positive in 16 (32%) strains, and OXA-58 was not detected in any strain. Knowledge of resistance genes and mechanisms is important because of both directing the treatment of the patients and the formation of epidemiological data. Key words: Acinetobacter baumannii, OXA-23, OXA-24, OXA-51, OXA-58
