Abstract (EN)

Sacroiliit is one of the most important findings of spondyloarthropathies which includes a group of ilnesses such as ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, enteropathic arthritis. The diagnosis of sacroiliitis is mainly dependent on imaging methods and diagnosis is generally difficult without radiologic findings. In this thesis we aim to assessment magnetic resonance imaging charateristics in diagnosis of active and chronic sacroiliitis. Our study, is done by evaluation of radiologic imagings of 90 cases which their magnetic resonance imaging is done in our clinic with sacroiliit prediagnosis. All of the evaluations were done with a 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance unit (Gyroscan Intera, Philips, Netherlands) by using standart body coil. Before the study, Survey images were acquired. Subsequently T1 axial-coronal, T2 axial-coronal, STIR coronal, T1 fat saturation coronal and post contrast T1 axial-coronal images were taken.Active and chronic sacroiliitis on magnetic resonance imaging findings were evaluated. Findings in chronic sacroiliitis, subchondral sclerosis, erosions, joint space narrowing / ankylosis and periarticular fat accumulation. Findings in active sacroiliitis; bone marrow edema / osteitis, synovitis, enthesitis, and capsulitis. These findings are examined separately for each patient were evaluated for active or chronic sacroiliitis.70 cases (%77.78) of 90 which were included in the study determined to have sacroiliitis. Active sacroiliitis are determined from 50 of 180 (%27.7) sacroiliac joints and chronic sacroiliitis are determined from 88 of 180 (%48.8) sacroiliac joints. In conclusion, magnetic resonance imaging can detect sacroiliitis is in active or chronic. Magnetic resonance imaging is useful a diagnosis of spondyloarthropathies.Key words: Sacroiliit, magnetic resonance imaging, spondyloarthropathies
