Abstract (EN)
Soil and bryophyte samples were taken from Kandıra town between November 2015- July 2016, oribatid mites were selected from the samples by concurrent methods. The selected oribatid mites were investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy. As aresult of the examination two species belonging to genera Conoppia and Ctenobelba were identified; Conoppia palmicincta (Michael, 1880) and Ctenobelba (C.) pilosellaJeleva, 1962. Both species are newly recorded from Turkey. Measurements of various body structures of identified species were made, SEM photographs were taken, and comparison witht herelated species were made and their distributions in the world were given.
