Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in order to examine the relationship between family of origin relationships, marriage expectations and relationship satisfaction of individuals who are experiencing romantic relationships. In addition, within the scope of this study, it was examined whether the relationships of individuals who are experiencing romantic relationships with their family of origin, marriage expectations and relationship satisfaction change according to demographic variables. In this study, data were collected from 456 adult individuals, 343 of whom were women and 113 of whom were men, who were experiencing a romantic relationship. The data of the study were collected through the "Personal Information Form", the "Relationship Satisfaction Scale", the Marriage Expectation Scale" and the "Family of Origin and Relationships Inventory". The data were analyzed with SPSS 27.0 package program. In the analysis of the data, Independent Groups t-test, Pearson Product Moments Correlation Analysis and Simple Linear Regression Analysis were used. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analyses conducted, there is a significant relationship between the stem family relationships, marriage expectation and relationship satisfaction scores of individuals who are experiencing romantic relationships. In addition, while individuals relationship scores with the mother show a significant difference according to gender, marriage expectation scores show a significant difference according to both gender and relationship status. The findings obtained from this study have been discussed in the context of literature and suggestions have been made.
