Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to examine the root canal sealer homogeneity after filling the mesial root canals of permanent mandibular molars, whose shaping process has been completed, with different canal sealer application techniques. In this study, 36 mandibular molars selected and prepared according to certain criteria were used. The samples were subjected to micro-computed tomography (µCT) scanning to be evaluated in terms of root canal morphology before the experimental protocol. Evaluated samples were randomly divided into 4 groups by ensuring standardization. Group 1, main con gutta-percha group (n = 9); group 2, sonic group (n = 9); group 3, lentulo group (n = 9); group 4 was determined as ultrasonic (US) group (n = 9). Group samples were shaped with the T-Endo MUST file system. Root canal filling process of the samples was completed in accordance with the criteria determined after shaping. AH Plus containing epoxy resin was used as root canal sealer in all groups. The specimens, whose root canal filling was completed, were re-examined in µCT. When the results of the study are evaluated; There was no statistical difference between the groups examined in terms of void volume (VV) between the canal sealer application methods (P >0.05). When the ratio of VV to total canal volume (TCV) was evaluated as a percentage (%), no statistically significant difference was observed between the groups (P >0.05).
