Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in descriptive and cross-sectional type in order to determine the incidence and risk factors of chronic pain after colorectal surgery. January -August 2023 The research was conducted with 100 patients who had colorectal surgery surgery in Adana Şehir Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi between January 2023 and August 2023. The study was conducted with 100 patients who had Decolorization surgery. The data were collected through the "Patient Identification Information Form" and the "Brief Pain Inventory". The data of the patients who met the sample criteria were collected before surgery, after surgery 24., 48., 72., were collected within hours and 3 months after surgery. Descriptive statistics were used in the evaluation of the data. The data of the patients who met the sample criteria were collected before surgery, after surgery 24., 48., 72., were collected within hours and 3 months after surgery. Descriptive statistics were used in the evaluation of the data. The descriptive data were used for the analysis, sample t test independent of parametric tests was used for variables with two subcategories and one way anova test was used for variables with more than two subcategories. The average age of the patients included in the study was 56.36 ±15.67, 59% had surgery experience, and it was determined that 41% of the pain was in the lower quadrant before surgery. 88% of the patients received general anesthesia, 38% had hemicolectomy surgery, and 71% had open surgery. It was found that the highest pain averages were 4.02±1.63 during movement in the first 24 hours, and 27% of patients developed chronic pain after surgery in the evaluation after 3 months. After surgery 3. in the evaluation during the month, the mean of severe pain of those who did not have surgery experience (t=-2,552, p=0,050) and the mean of both severe and mild pain of those who received general anesthesia were significant (t=-4,047, p=0,050; t=-3,199, p=0,004). These findings indicate that chronic pain develops in about a third of patients after colorectal surgery, and the development of chronic pain is higher in patients undergoing surgery for the first time and in patients receiving general anesthesia.
