SUMMARYThe Effect of Different Sowing Date on the Yieldand Yield Components in Rapeseed VarietesThis study was conducted in split-plot design with three replications and fourplanting date in the experiment fields of the Field Crops Department of Faculty ofAgriculture at Adnan Menderes University in 2005-06 period. The aim of this studyto investigate the best suitable planting date determine for Aydın district with theeffect of different planting date on some agronomics traits, yield and yieldcomponent of three commercial rape cultivars.In this research, Licrown, Licord and Bristol cultivars were planted on fourdifferent dates, 1 November, 15 November, 1 December and 15 December, of 2005.In this study, it was observed that effect of plating dates on plant heights,secondary branch, stem diameter, hundered kernel weight and yield.As a result of this study it was determined that the best planting date was 1Nowember and the best suitable cultivar was Licrown.
