Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is the design of composite members and retrofitting of reinforced concrete structures with steel members.Primarily, composite section and shear connections are defined. Design principles of the composite structural members and verifications of design are indicated. This subject is detailed with the solution of steel and composite structure.After that, capacity concept of the structural members and structural sytems of the reinforced concrete structures are mentioned. Nonlineer static analysis is explained in structural capacity calculation. After the capacity calculation, retrofitting of reinforced concrete structural members and system is described with steel member. Finally, two storey building is retrofitted with steel bracing
