Abstract (EN)
In order to determine the degree of employee empowerment applications performed in the accommodation establishments, to examine the importance of these applications in terms of accommodation establishments and to investigate whether empowerment perception of managers have changed, field research has been conducted with managers of 1,2,3,4 and 5 star hotel establishments in İstanbul. Survey technique has been utulized as data collection method in the study. 333 surveys evaluated were analyzed with SPSS and descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H, Kolmogorov Smirnov and Bonferroni tests were applied. According to the findings; marital status, tourism education, department, statute and working hours make significant difference on empowerment perception level of managers. Research results show that empowerment perception of managers is above average. One of the findings of this study is according to class, if the number of stars of hotel business is high, managers lean towards to empowerment applications.
