Abstract (EN)
Today globalization, technological developments and mass competition forces the garment producers to understand the importance of subcontractor selection in order to meet the customer satisfaction, demand for shipping on time and compete with other suppliers. This process shouldn't be evaluated as an easy selection process, it also should be handled by using not just a single variable but also a large number of criteria and their joint effects. For this purpose, in a clothing plant located in Izmir, the weights of subcontractor selection criterias were defined by using MACBETH method and the evaluation of the all alternatives has been performed by using TOPSIS and VIKOR methods and finally the results have been compared. In this study, the purpose of applying the MACBETH method is to contribute to Turkish literature about the best supplier solution problem. The combination of MACBETH method with TOPSIS and VIKOR methods is one of the first study in Turkish literature. As a result, the MACBETH method can also be applied in combination with other multi criteria decision methods such as ELECTRE, PROMETHEE.
