Maintaining an efficient education and training in conservatory buildings is an important part of architectural acoustics of education buildings. For this end, sound has to be controlled in such a way to prevent noise. In this respect, in the first section; noise concept, sources of noise, noise level indicators and noise control in buildings are focused on. After then, in the second section, several national regulation (Turkey, England, America and Germany) about noise control for education buildings and conservatory buildings in particular are examined. In the third section; classroom speech levels, background noise level, space size, construction components for sound insulation, reverbaration time, speech intelligibility and performance criterias are analyzed.In last section, current acoustical situation of ?Conservatory Building of Mamak Municipality Ankara Musiki Muallim Mektebi?, is analyzed through Insul simulation program, in the light of researched concepts. After computing some measurements about the environmental noise level, the background noise level and sound transition loss of building elements for the ?Conservatory Building of Mamak Municipality Ankara Musiki Muallim Mektebi? some comparisons based on Insul 6.4 simulation program are made and some recommendations are tried to be developed for acoustical problems.Key Words : Acoustics, Building acoustics, Conservatory building
