A study on the teaching of speaking skills for primary school students

The purpose of this study, Primary 6, 7 and 8 Elementary grade students' Turkish Instructor (6,7,8. Classes) Education Program to apply the achievements of the level of speaking skills, and 6, 7 and 8 Turkish Textbooks class activities is to determine what level of speaking skills.In addition, the gains of students' speaking skills through a questionnaire to determine the levels of conversion behavior and to make determinations are among the objectives of the study. For this purpose, the result of observation to get more students in primary schools under the Ministry of Turkish National Education surveys given to teachers. Achievements of the students practice speaking skills in SPSS 16.0 for Windows program was used to determine levels.Primary 6, 7 and 8 Class of Turkish textbooks speaking processing of texts to make determinations about the 2009-2010 academic year, the second level primary education used in the Turkish textbooks, workbooks, teacher's guide books has been reached. Books in general terms, not reduced to the texts studied, interpreted and speaking skills of gains for the overall gains rates were calculated. Prepared within the framework of the constructivist approach to Primary 6, 7 and 8 Turkish Class Teacher 's Books, Student Workbooks and textbooks for the event and the survey results in the ability of speech data of the result, suggestions and discussion section is interpreted.
