The places and organizations of bathrooms in the houses, a case study in Gaziantep

In this study, the place of bathrooms in houses, organization of them and affecting factors that are organizing houses' bathrooms were searched. In Gaziantep and around this region there're the oldest known bathing places of world and there's no specific study doneup to now. So, the study's scope was designated from this region. In Gaziantep, the bathrooms, houses' bathing spaces and equipments of civilizations that were seen in historical time were studied. Bathing places in Traditional Gaziantep Houses were searched, with the help of the provements and analyze studies, changes around the today's needs were found out. Further, users' bathing habits in todays Gaziantep houses, kinds and dimensions of equipments that're used, users's expectations and needs were found out thanks to survey studies. At the end of this study, design criteria that affect the organization of bathrooms were ascertained and ideas that may be datum for design of places were given.
