Abstract (EN)

Traditional Turkish house is a house tradition that reveals our family life, daily life, environment-neighbourhood relations, respect for nature, takes its foundation from Central Asian and Anatolian cultures, completes its development in Anatolia and its surroundings, and has an architectural identity specialized with the Turkish nation. According to Eldem, it is a type of building that started to spread from the 16th century and stuck in Anatolia and its surroundings for 500 years. It started to disappear in the 20th century and soon succumbed to the idea of Westernization. In the first chapter, the aim, scope and method of the study and the source research are explained. In the second part, the concept of Turkish house is examined based on the literature review. In the third chapter, information about the history and historical houses of Doğanbey Mahallesi and its surroundings, which is the study area, is given. In the fourth chapter, five traditional Turkish houses were examined in terms of plan, facade and ornamental features, while a total of fourteen buildings were examined with facade drawings and interior photographs. The survey drawings of the houses have also been added to the study. The houses examined in the fifth chapter were evaluated in terms of different features. In the sixth chapter, conclusions and recommendations are given. As a result, it has been observed that Doğanbey houses belonging to the 19th and 20th centuries are neglected and in need of repair since there is no life inside.
