Abstract (EN)

The settled order in and around Konya goes back to prehistoric times. The city was home to many civilizations and served as the capital of the Seljuks. Belief and cultural tourism is dominant in the city, nature, health, congress and fair tourism, such as alternative tourism types are also available. Seljuk Empire in 1228, the famous thinker who settled in Konya, Hz. Mevlana has been a factor that has marked the city of Konya for centuries. Mevlana Museum is still one of the important factors that make up the identity of the city and is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Throughout history, people have traveled from place to place for various reasons and needed accommodation during their travels. The accommodation structures developed according to this need have been mentioned with different names throughout the history. Today, the building groups that serve the needs of accommodation are hotels. Konya, which has significant tourism values, was introduced to the hotel buildings after the Anatolian-Baghdad railway reached the city. Within the scope of the thesis, the development of Konya hotels in the historical process has been put forward. The pre-Republican period, the period between the Republic period - 2000 and the period between 2000-2019, which includes the first opened hotels of Konya, were divided into three periods. Investigations were made on the plans of 15 hotel structures belonging to these periods and the development in the historical process was revealed.
