KOSGEB entrepreneurship support program expenditure distribution and effects market of enterprises under the scope of: European side of İstanbul province example

Today, with the effect of globalization, competition has increased more than ever. The scientific and technological changes of our time have brought competition to a different dimension. Today business in a small city or town has the chance to compete with the business in the other end of the country or the world. If your economy has competitive SMEs, these SMEs will ensure your economic and social development. It should not be forgotten that today the world's largest companies are the result of a startup. The study consists of two theoretical and one field study parts. In the first part of the study, the concepts of enterprise, entrepreneurship, the historical development of entrepreneurship in the world and in our country, the importance of entrepreneurship, the factors affecting entrepreneurship, the types of entrepreneurship and the obstacles faced by entrepreneurs, SME definition, SMEs in Turkey and in the world are examined and importance of SMEs is explained. In the second chapter, SME Development Organization of Turkey-KOSGEB and supports of KOSGEB is explained. In field study part, an overview of the entrepreneurs who established a business with the support of KOSGEB on the European side of Istanbul was revealed. Survey has been conducted with 238 entrepreneurs, 228 of these surveys have been evaluated. Emphasis of the survey evaluation were on what kind of expenditures entrepreneurs make within the scope of Machine Equipment, Software and Office Hardware Support which is a sub-item of Entrepreneurship Support Program, which items they take, which products they buy either imported or local goods and why they chose these products. In the conclusion section, based on the literature and field study, recommendations on the effects of the Entrepreneurship Support Programme were presented.
