In order to introduce the current situation and find out the problems of the Kosovo Hairdressing Service Sector, this workout was needed to be done.As the Current Status of Hairdressing Service Sector in Kosovo went through a research, physical condition of the salon, current status of the location, tools and equipment as well as the social and demographical characteristics of salon owners have been determined, starting from the ergonomic characteristics of the salon of a hairdresser?s.The aforementioned research was carried out by means of Descriptive Research Methods based on Screening Model. A 70 question survey was made by the researcher in an effort to identify the current status of hairdressing service sector in line with the information acquired through expert opinions and literature review. The research was applied in 110 hairdresser?s in 10 regions of Kosovo in total, 6 provinces and the largest 4 districts; Prishtina, Prizreni, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjilani, Mitrovica, Gjakova, Deçani, Shtime and Suhareka.Data collected via the survey on determining the status have been computerized on SPSS 18.0 program, frequencies (N) and percentage distributions have been calculated and their arithmetic means have also been calculated.The following results have been obtained regarding the Status of the Sector; Business owners and employees learn about the profession at the enterprise they are working for, they do not have a secondary education, undergraduate or postgraduate degree education on hairdressing occupation and seminars, conferences etc on hairdressing occupation are not within reach. In addition, there are further outcomes of the research indicating problems as such; enterprises offering hairdressing service generally have small spaces and fall short of tools and equipment like treatment seats and waiting seats for customers, they have limited access to new products, no information cards are issued for the customers and they do not have a specific fee tariff.
