Analiysis of theatrical village plays in therms of humor theories

People played games to have a good time, to spend their free time and to have fun in the process from their birth to their death. There are games that individuals play alone, as well as games that different individuals play together. In the historical process, the games that people played together have turned into branches of art that are performed collectively. One of the branches of art performed collectively is theater. The theater plays of society contain the values, beliefs, daily lifestyles, ways of perceiving life, entertainment and humor of their own cultures. One of the important plays that reflect the culture of the Turkish people is the theatrical village plays, which is a branch of the traditional Turkish theatre. Theatrical village plays give information about many people, events and situations in daily life. Village theatrical plays are also related to the daily lifestyles of the Anatolian villagers, their way of perceiving life, the livelihoods of the villagers, etc. as well as also give important information about the fun and humor of the villagers. In this study, village chamber plays played for fun, which has important traces of Turkish culture, are considered together with the theory of dissonance, relaxation theory and superiority, which are accepted as traditional humor theories, considering the concepts of "having fun together", "entertainment culture" and "humor", examined in the example of village chamber plays.
