Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to examine the change in some elements of Alevi culture along with the migration from the village to the city. The research was carried out with face-to-face interviews with 15 grandfathers living in Malatya and Adıyaman provinces, who carried out the dede lineage in 2021-2022. Within the scope of the research, the change of dedehood, companionship, cem worship, lokma and Hızır fasting with the migration from the village to the city was examined. It has been determined that with the migration from the village to the city, the office of dede had difficulty in preserving its traditional structure, its functions were reduced, and an institutional status could not be gained. Transition from a homogeneous structure to a heterogeneous structure with the experienced migration; Companionship, which was dominated by primary relations, has weakened. It has been observed that there are problems with the spatial and legal content of the cemevis. While Lokma was more informal in the village, it became official in the city with associations. Although the Khidr fasting still continues, it is carried out with the participation of more people in the village, while it is carried out with the participation of less people in the city. As a result of the research, with the migration from the village to the city; The Alevi population can live more openly without hiding their beliefs. Although cemevis gain an official content with the increase of cemevis, there are still problems related to the lack of financial aid. The authority of dedelik did not gain an official status. The companionship weakened due to the Khidr fasting and the fact that the Alevi population was not together in the lokma city conditions.
