Abstract (EN)

Iraq who stayed for a long term under the sovereignty like Ottoman Empire and became an important center who, like the other territorities, has intensively felt the effect of political fire that has encircled the Ottoman Empire at the end of 18th Century, always stayed in the darkness of regarding the colonial protection as a light for her independence. It is a typical Middle East Country who, during this last century, has paid the cost of taking this colonial protection as a shelter. It is considered a wealthy country which is different from other countries and wherein the different races are inhabited, as well as having a quite bit much population together with rich underground resources. When we look at the map of Iraq, we observe three great ethnical compositions. The ethnical composition comprises Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen. When we cast our looks with respect to the religion, we then observe the fact that the majority of Iraqi people is Muslim but there also exist other populations who are from different religions such as Christians, yezidis and sabeans. The subject of my study has comprised the developments and applications which were realized within the framework of effect exerted on the Social and Political Life by the ethical composition of Iraq.Lets discuss the question whether the ethnical composition or the followers of religion is most effective on the social and political lives adopted by the Iraqi Community. We can answer this question by those brief sentences such as:Since the majority of population living in Iraq, consist of Muslims, this fact serves to indicate that the religious groups are more effective on the style of living. But when we only take into consideration the religious groups, we observe the fact they are splitted among themselves such as Sunnis and Shiites. Furthermore, there exist the followers of other religions but they are not quite effective when compared with the Muslims. The reason for this is lying on the fact that they constitute the minority in Iraq. When we deal with the ethnical groups, we observe the fact that the concept of religion, according to Arabs, in other words the Islamic comprehension and understanding, is hold quite superior over the nationalism. When we analyze the Kurds and Turkmen, we see that the identity (nationality) takes the first place and it is later followed by religions.Key Words1-Ethnical Composition of Iraq2-Religious structure of Iraq3-Arabs of Iraq4-Kurds of Iraq5-Turkmen of Iraq
