Credit cards contracts

The worldwide commercial activities and economic life in parallel with the technological advances have reached a universal dimension to grow rapidly. The rapid growth as a tool to use the money used towards the end of the 19th century classic pay credit card use and making it difficult for the money left. In Turkey, the first time in the history of credit card applications in 1968 shows the location of commercial life. Despite the widespread use of the credit card system in our country, it is too late for legal regulations. With the amendment of Law No. 4822, the first regulation on credit cards entered into force with the provision of Article 10 of the Decree Law No. 4077. In 2006, detailed legal relations with BKKKK no. TKHK numbered 6502 in 2013. credit cards are organized under the heading of consumer loans. With this regulation, a wider regulation on credit cards was introduced. In the first part of our study, the concept of credit card will be tried to be explained, the historical process in the world and in our country will be discussed and the legal characterization of credit card will be evaluated separately in terms of banking law, consumer law and negotiable instruments law. In the second part, the definitions, elements and legal characteristics of the credit card system contracts will be tried to be determined and the parties of the contracts will be determined. In the third section, the rights and obligations of the parties will be stated with the establishment of credit card agreements. In the fourth and final section, the termination of the contracts will be examined by classifying them as general termination and credit card agreements.
