Abstract (EN)

Bank credit cards have become major alteration tool in banking and economic life which is also replaced money in a safe business interactions. Also known as plastic money, credit cards have become widespread rapidly through the whole country and became a significant factor in our daily consumer life. Basically credit cards allow its holder to purchase goods, services and getting a bank loan without paying cash. According to BKM statistics, there are approximately 32.797.000 active credit cards in Turkey by the year of 2007. Besides that, the endorsement of credit cards transactions is approximately 106.335 ( million YTL ). In this research, we examine the termination of legal relations and its outcomes for credit cards which the consumers frequently face in their legal transactions throughout daily life. The act of ?Bank Cards and Credit Cards? (Article 5464) which came into force on 01.03.2006, is going to be our reference. The introduction part of this research contiunes with explanation about legal features of credit cards, process of credit card system. Moreover, the research mainly focuses on termination of legal relations between credit card system parties and its outcomes. Nevertheless, the main part of the research is about termination of credit card agreement and its otucomes which is the most significant subject in the whole research. The conclusion part is a brief and detailed summary of our results that we study and evaluate for an ideal law for credit cards. Key Words: 1) Credit card 2) Legal Relations 3) Termination
