Abstract (EN)

In the first part of the thesis, we?ve chosen some laments from thebook named ?Kosoktor? edited by Abdıldacan Akmataliyev and organized bySonor Egemberdiyeva in 1998. Firstly it is transcribed into the new TurkishAlphabet and then translated into Turkey Turkish from Kirghiz Turkish.With in the scope of this thesis, not only 64 laments from the book?Kosoktor? are translated into Turkey Turkish from Kirghiz Turkish; but alsoit?s language style, poetic structure and content is evaluated.While evaluating it?s language style, tha adjectives, the sayings andthe words which emphasize sarrow are evaluated.While evaluating it?s content, the information about the person, who ispassed away, is analyzed and evaluated (his age, his profession, his physicalappearance, his character) and the ?kosoks? are categorized according to thepeople who sing, the time, the age group and how they died.It is noticed that the themes of the laments are not only expresssorrow, but also they have some different themes and generally they have asimilar style.
