Analysis of factors affecting cryptocurrency through technology acceptance model

Abstract (EN)

With the development of technology, ever-increasing new applications bring even more convenience to our lives. Now, with electronic payment systems, all kinds of transactions can be made easily over the internet. However, with the concept of digital and virtual money, the use of cryptocurrencies has started to increase by consumers. Using the technology acceptance model (TKM), this study aims to explain the relationship between the factors that will affect whether people who do not use cryptocurrencies use cryptocurrencies. Following a comprehensive literature review, the basic model in literature was developed with variables of trust, social influence, social support and belief. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships between the structures in the model. However, an internet-based survey was applied to consumers who did not use crypto currency to obtain data and 263 valid data were analyzed using Smart PLS software. According to the results of the survey and analysis, the effect on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness intention was confirmed. Nevertheless, trust; perceived ease of use, effect on perceived usefulness and intention. It was also found that social influence and social support had a significant effect on trust and intention. Contrary to expectations, belief has been found to have no effect on trust and intention. These results will serve as the basis for the work of future crypto currency researchers, developers and marketers.
