Abstract (EN)
Woven fabrics have been passed down from generation to generation and have survived to the present day. The rapid development of technology enables very different productions. Kırklareli's traditional clothing and interior textiles, with its eye-catching blend of color, texture, pattern and composition, is a unique art form inspired by nature. This art form is still witnessed in the daily life of the people in the provincial villages of Kırklareli. It is also an important cultural garment of birth, death and weddings. The subject of the thesis is exploring the use of original fabric designs and garments by examining the folk wear and interior woven fabrics of Kırklareli villages after the 93 War (1877-1878). The material, technique and pattern characteristics of the traditional textile samples of Kırklareli villages will be examined. Folk art, folklore, local and national examples of textural surfaces created with the traditional method will be determined. The aim of the thesis is that the reactions caused by the policies, economic conditions and cultural events that occurred after the 93 War (1877-1878) in Thrace were also reflected in their textile and fashion understandings. In the village culture of Kırklareli, woven fabrics are of great importance in terms of carrying the traces of the past to the future, besides being clothing and items for use in the space, examining and recording the examples that have survived to the present day by transferring thousands of years of accumulation from generation to generation. Traditional textile samples, material, technique, pattern features and sewing methods were examined by conducting field studies in Kırklareli villages. It is aimed to examine the clothing culture in Kırklareli villages from the past to the present, to prepare fashion design artistic drawings by making use of the examples that have survived, to carry a documentary quality that will shed light on future generations, and to contribute to the relevant literature. As a research method; First of all, a literature review was made and it was determined which works could be accessed. During the research, Kırklareli University Library, Kırklareli Provincial Public Library, Kırklareli Museum, YÖK thesis review page and the people living in Kırklareli villages were used. Photographs and publications related to the research were taken and computer technology and internet were used. In the village culture of Kırklareli, woven fabrics are of beyond being clothing and items for use in the space, examining and recording the examples that have come to the present day by transferring thousands of years of experience from mother to daughter for generations and it is great importance in terms of carrying the traces of the past to the future.
