The Analysis of Yayla's Street and the protection of suggestion during the historical development of Kırklareli

This thesis contains the research of Yayla District in the historical urban site region in Kırklareli, with the protection and improvement work about the above mentioned district. The texture to be protected in Yayla is mostly the civil architecture examples which mostly belong to the late 19th century and the early 20th century. In the 19th and 20th century, four ethnic group Greek, Jewish, Bulgarian and Turkish people lived in Kırklareli. These groups who lived in Trakya and Kırklareli have immigrated during the Balkan war and the Liberation war years and lastly in the early Republic period. Different ethnic groups have lived together in this region for long years. As a result of this, there has been avoriety in the construction techniques and space organization of the houses in this region. So, the house trations of different cultural groups have built a house mosaic. Yayla Region in which the Greek people have lived in the past, is an important example for this mosaic. This study, contains the historical research, the analitic studies of the region the selection of the buildings to be protected, preparation of the measured drawings and the reorganizing of the chosen district according to the principles and the methods of scientific protection. The aim is to unite the historical texture and the enviranment in order to help the district live. VI
