Abstract (EN)
Epidemic diseases are one of the biggest problems of human beings. Diseases that entered human life with domestication of animals fort he first time have been observed in almost every period throughout history. Rather, natural disasters, emigration and disease microbes after wars have caused great harm to man and nature. Crimean War (1853-1856) is one of the war that diseases can be seen mostly. In the Crimean War, the fact shows that disease-related deaths were higher than those in the war. Diseases in the war adversely affected the troops of the alliance of England, France Sardinia and The Ottoman Empire. Epidemic diseases in the Crimean War were reflected in the letters of the soldiers families, their memoirs, archival documents, chronicle works and newspapers of theperiod. Among these diseases, the soldiers are mostly affected by diseases such as cholera, typhus, scorbutic, malaria and dysentery. Migrations, are the leading environments where epidemics are common expect wars. Migrations have been one of the most effective tools in shaping the demographic, and ethnic structure of the world throughout history. For the first time. The immigration mobility initiated by human beings in order to find a better living condition for their animals, which is one of the basic livelihoods, has continued with the integration of political, ethnic and socio-economic reasons. Migrations, became the result of wars, On the other hand, immigration caused by war has created great problems. Epidemics are the most important problems caused by migration. After the Crimean War, the Caucasia migrations (1856-1864) became one of the most common seen epidemic. The Crimean War forced the people of the Crimea and Caucasian to leave their homeland, the roads, harbors and where they went to see the greatest damage from epidemic diseases. The Ottoman Empire has taken numerous measures against the outbreaks of the Crimean War and migration of the Caucasian. Among these measures, the establishment of the Commission of Immigration, with the establishment of quarantine centers, was effective in reducing the severity of diseases, In addition, doctors and various health care materials were sent from medical school to the regions where the diseases were effective and the diseases were requested to be treated on site.
