Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of psychological resilience on the happiness levels and close relationship experiences of the 20 to 65 aged hemodialysis patients with chronic kidney disease. Besides, we planned to examine the effect of some variables like age, marital status, education level, income level, duration of treatment, regular or irregular use of medical agents, on the happiness, psychological resilience and close relationship experiences of participants. The study is conducted by attending 100 hemodialysis patients who are living in Beşyüzevler providence of İstanbul city. Also, in order to identify socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, personal information form has been prepared by the researcher. In results section, it has been found out that the age of individuals increases as the levels of their psychological resilience increase; the duration of hemodialysis treatment increases as their happiness levels decrease; the levels of the participants psychological resilience increase, also increasing their happiness levels. There have been no significant findings about some socio-demographic characteristics of the participants like income levels, occupation, medications which have been used regularly or not. It has also been observed that as the levels of the participants psychological resilience increase; the happiness levels also increase; as the happiness levels increase, avoidance levels decrease.In the discussion part of research, the results have been discussed with the recent literature and some suggestions have been proposed to families and psychological counselors who are working on this field .
