Abstract (EN)
Periodontal diseases; Enflammatory and infectious diseases which are multifactorial, polymicrobiyal, poligenic, and resulting in destruction of tooth and ımplant supporting tissues, affected by various enviromental and local factors. The main factor of periodontal diseas is microbial dental plaque. Standard periodontal therapy is focussed on eradication of micro-organisms by mechanical subgingival debridement. At this point the treatment of the disease based on mechanical removal of subgingival and supragingival biofilms from colonized teeth and root surfaces in order to arrest and control inflammatory processes. Since oral cavity has unique environment, periordontopathogens were found to colonize nearly all niches in the oral cavity. A translocation of these pathogens may occur rapidly and recently root planed deep pocket might be re colonized from the remaining untreated pockets or from other inraoral niches, before a less pathogenic ecosystem can be established. Based on this hypothesis a full mouth disinfection approach consisit of scalling and root planning of all pockets in two visits within 24h in combination with adjunctive lokal antiseptics to obtain better clinical and microbiological results. In this clinical study, full mouth disenfection and toothpaste in combination with a local application of local antiseptics (a subgingival irrigant together with an oral rinse and tonsil spray) that new treatment approaches used together in the treament of the chronic periodontitis for the assessment of their microbiologic and clinical efficiency. Key Words: Full mouth disinfection, periodontal therapy, infectious disease, chronic periodontitis
