Abstract (EN)

Objective: This study was planned and conducted in order to compare the sleep quality, quality of life and nutritional status of sedentary, physically active and athletic individuals according to their morningness and eveningness. Method: In order to reach the individuals who fulfill the criteria for participation in the study, a personal information form and a self-assessment form to identify morningness and eveningness types in the human circadian rhythm were used. "World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale-Short Form" and "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index" were applied to the individuals who met the criteria, and two-day food consumption records were taken from the individuals to determine their nutritional status. Results: No difference was found between the groups in terms of sleep quality index total score between sedentary, physically active and athletes for women and men in terms of morningness and eveningness (p> 0.05). According to their chronotypes, there was no difference between sedentary, physically active and sports women in terms of the scores obtained from the sub-dimensions of the quality of life scale (p> 0.05), while there was a significant difference for the national areas of the environment and the environment in the evening men (p <0.05). The circumferential area score of eveningness sedentary men was lower than that of physically active men in the evening and sports men in the evening. For the environmental national area; The environmental national area score of the eveningness sedentary men was lower than the physical active men in the evening and the sports men in the evening. While there was no difference between the groups for healthy eating index 2015 total score in terms of physical activity level in morning-waking women, morning and evening men (p> 0.05), there was a significant difference between evening sedentary, physically active and sports women (p <0.05 ). Healthy eating index 2015 total score of evening sedentary women is higher than evening athlete women. Conclusion: Generally, sleep quality, quality of life and nutritional status were not different in individuals with different physical activity levels according to their chronotypes.More studies are needed by increasing the number of participants.
