In a patriarchal environment where the influence of patriarchy is high, women inherit societal gender roles across generations. They Express experiencing significant hardships throughout this process. Looking at womens experiences, it is observed that their perception of deprivation and poverty, their quality of life and their expectations differ from men. Particularly, what is perceived as mere income deprivation by men is experienced bt women as an inability to participate in social life, inability to reach decisions making authorities, invisibility and an unfulfilled gab in life. At this point, this study attempts to interpret the situations experienced by women living in rural areas, specifically in Ovacık Village, within the patriarchal order, from a sociological perspective. In this context, the study focuses on the struggle of women in Ovacık Village against patriarchal order, their lives, their efforts to exist in the societal sphere, their struggles against deprivation and poverty and the costs they bear.
