Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to determine and compare the job satisfaction levels of classroom techers who lecture at elementary schools in the rural area and province Elazığ. It has been this research?s main issue as a result to increased are greatness and distances elementary classroom teachers who is in focus point of education what are the reasons for their job dissatisfaction. Classroom teachers, lecturing at elementary schools in rural area and centre of Elazığ - 1425 in centre, 706 in rural area- have comprimised the universe of research. 304 classroom teachers, working at elementary schools in centre and 251 classroom teachers working in rural area have olso been taken into the pattern of the research. In the research, ?job satisfaction scale?, which was made using to different types of job satisfaction scales, was used as a getting data tool. The five -likert -type scale consists of 7 individual variables, fifty-three items and nine dimensions. The questionnaire is made up of two sections. In the first section personal information and in the second section classroom teachers opinions on job satisfaction take place. SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Science, 13) packet programme has been used in order to analyse the statistical data determined at the research. Frequency, percent, arithmetic mean, standart deviation, levene?s ?t? , mann-whitney U tests have been used for the evulation of the data, the upper limit of erronous ratio has been accepted as 0.05. According to the results of research, classroom teachers who work in central province and rural area have a medium level of job satisfaction about their jobs (3,291 and 3,297). The highest job satisfaction dimension of classroom teachers is (rural area classroom teachers) people worked together (collegeau); the lowest one is (central province classroom teachers) rewards. At the evaluation of data related to place of work, it is found out that rural classroom teachers according to the central classroom teachers have more higher job satisfaction.
