Özet (EN)

In this study, in order to determine the suitability of the jet grout application to the ground conditions in the Central District of Kırşehir Province, borehole drilling was initially carried out up to a depth of 25 meters. The soil in the study area consists of sandy-clay units, with a dominant dark brown sandy-clay layer observed between depths of 1.50 m and 21.00 m. Groundwater was encountered at depths of 2–3 meters based on measurements taken from various boreholes, in soil that lacks self-supporting characteristics. As a result of experimental analyses, the local soil class was determined to be ZE. Additionally, it was found that the calculated settlement amount exceeded acceptable limits; the soft to medium-stiff, naturally moist, and highly plastic clay layer forming the foundation soil has low bearing capacity and may cause differential settlement issues (17–25 cm).In this context, it was recommended to improve the silty-clayey layer beneath the building foundation using the jet grout method. For a total area of 194.33 m², 77 jet grout columns with a diameter of 60 cm and a length of 10 meters were constructed. All stages of the application were carried out under strict control; trial columns of 1–2 meters in length were constructed before production, and the diameters of these columns were excavated to verify their compliance with the project specifications.
