A study on the place names of Kırşehir province and its region

Onamatology that is onamastic names is the field where the work is done in historical, cultural, ethnographic. The onamayology is divided into three areas. These are names of places (toponomi)., names of geography (hydronom and oronomy). and names of people (anthroponomy). Toponomi is a scientific discipline that examines place s names. Toponomi is linked with geography, history, sociology and it gives information about the lifestyle of region which is studied. First studies on the toponomy started late in our country compared to other countries. Although the studies that started in the first years of the Republic were common in Anatolia region, many regions have not yet been studied in the field of place names. Throughout its history, Kırşehir has continued its existence as a city in many civilizations. Persia, Greek, Romans and Byzantines continued in the historical order beginning with the Hittites, with their victories in 1071 Malazgirt and became a Turkish homeland with the enforcement of Central Anatolia together with Karluk, Kıpçak, Kalaç, Ağaç-Eri and Oguz boats. Kırşehir which is an important city established in the Turkish states in Anatolia, today continues to exist as a province of the Republic of Turkey. In this study, we will address the names of Kırşehir throughout his history and with the taken names from Kırşehir Municipality Zoning Directorate Gardens Directorate and Kırşehir Provincial Special Provincial Administration departure we will focus on the toponomy in Kırşehir.
