Determination of technical and economi̇c structures of Kırşehir province small rumi̇nant breeding enterprises

This study was conducted to determine the technical and economic structures of small ruminant breeding enterprises. The study was carried out in the selected enterprises by sampling from the member companies of the Breeding Sheep and Goat Breeders Association which is actively operating in Kırşehir. According to DKKYB data, there are 1352 small ruminants. 750 of these small ruminants have active support. In this study, 174 enterprises were determined by using stratified random sampling method and primary data obtained from face-to-face interviews were used. Since the data obtained were nonparametric data, Chi-Square test was applied. As a result, 61% of the breeders were primary school graduates, 57% had only animal production, 64% had been engaged in animal husbandry activities for 16 years or more, 85% had small enterprises, 98% had regular vaccination for animals, and 58% had each year, the disease was seen, 48% received assistance from a contracted veterinarian and 55% of the holdings in animal feeding received assistance from veterinary or agricultural engineers.
