Abstract (EN)
In this study, antifungal (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis (FOM) and Sclerotina sclerotiorum (SS)) and antibacterial (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm), Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst)) activities of essential oil and plant extracts from endemic species of Salvia cryptantha in Kırşehir province were determined under in vitro and in vivo conditions. In addition, the composition of essential oils obtained by the Hydro-distillation method from this plant was determined using GC/MS analysis. Antifungal activity studies were determined using different doses of extracts and essential oils under in vitro (PDA and TSA) and in vivo conditions (tomato plant, cucumber and melon fruit). Mycelium growth (mm), mycelium growth inhibitions (%) and lesion growth (mm) of fungal diseases (FOM, SS) were determined against plant extract and essential oil of S. cryptantha The effects of extract and essential oils on bacterial diseases and their symptoms on the tomato plant were measured using different parameters. According to GC / MS analysis results, the main components were found in the essential oils of Salvia cryptantha; Eucalyptol (20.61%), camphor (19.83%), α-pinene (8.79%), Camphene (7.82%), Borneol (7.32%), Viridiflorol (7.84%) and β-pinene (5.72%). As a result of this study,100% inhibitions were observed using 20 µl dose of essential oil against bacteria and fungi under in vitro and in vivo conditions. Similar results were found in plant extract. In conclusion, S. cryptantha has been determined to have antifungal and antibacterial properties of essential oil and extract under in vitro and in vivo conditions.
