Abstract (EN)

The subject of this study area consists of Eocene aged volcanic rocks in Kışlaköy (Narman / Erzurum) and its surrounding. Minerological, petrographic and mineral chemistry analyzes of the volcanic rocks in this area were examined and in line with the data obtained, the physicochemical properties of the magmas such as temperature, pressure, which are effective during crystallization, and physicochemical data were combined with geological data, and the development of the magmas forming these rocks in the crust was examined. The main units in the study area are Eocene aged Kışlaköy Volcanite, Oligo-Miocene aged Oltu Formation, Oligo-Miocene Trout Formation and Alluviums. Volcanic rocks in the study area have been examined under three headings as pyroclastics, dykes and lavas according to their volcanic facies characteristics and the main minerals found in these rocks are plagioclase, clinopyroxene, olivine and opaque minerals. These minerals generally exhibit hyalomicrolytic porphyritic, glomera porphyritic, cumulative porphyritic, microlitic porphyritic, poikilitic, intersertal textures and Pyroxenes are augite with composition Wo40-46 En41-50 Fs5-18, plagioclases have An49-85 composite, olivines vary between Fo68-75 and Fe-Ti oxides are available. When looking at the thermobarometer calculations, the crystallization temperature of volcanics varies between 489-1247 oC, the pressure varies between 0.5-4.7 kbar, and it is seen that volcanic rocks, which have been studied by looking at all these data, have settled in the mid-shallow continental crust starting from the dehydrated magmas.
