Özet (EN)
Each individual constituting the society needs to determine his or her needs as a result of having certain responsibilities, and of living in a specific cultural environment. A conscious or rather a purposeful education is essential when society's needs or the improvement of culture is considered. The fact that individuals can be educated and thus the desired behaviours can be formed, and the expectations to teach individuals how to employ those behaviours have revealed the necessity of educational institutions. Educational institutions are composed of formal education and informal education subsystems with regard to presenting education. Both in formal and informal educational institutions, educational programmes should be prepared and applied in order for the individual to be improved and educated. Educational programmes are developed by linking various parts such as aim, contents, method, evaluation and tools, and controlling the system as the consequence of determining individuals' needs and analysis of them within the framework of programme development. Application of educational programmes effectively is dependent upon the compatibility of the content to the individual's expectations. This research has been conducted by referring to beauticians', dermatologists', and lecturers' opinions in order to determine the views concerning the subjects that should be included in the contents of such courses as Skin Care Cosmetics and Care Techniques I, Skin Care Cosmetics and Care Techniques II, and Skin Care Cosmetics and Care Applications in the department of Hairdressing and Beauty. The research was performed by referring to the views of 457 people including beauticians, dermatologists, and the graduates of Hairdressing and Beauty department - that is, hairdressing and beauty teachers - between June 2003 and March 2004.
