Abstract (EN)

Science and Art, although often perceived as separate domains, intersect in the realm of abstract physics. When dealing with abstract realities, art serves as a tangible form through which scientists explore ever-changing depictions of reality. One of the most complex theories in modern physics is Quantum Theory, which has influenced various disciplines since its inception. From medicine and biology to chemistry, technology, philosophy, theology, sociology, and art, Quantum Theory continues to shape our understanding of the world. Sculpture art stands out as one of the fields that most strikingly reflects the effects of Quantum Theory. Artists express the complexities and uncertainties of quantum physics in their sculptures, offering viewers a tangible representation of these abstract concepts. For instance, a sculpture may depict the uncertainty and continuously changing nature of particles, or a series of sculptures may portray interactions and fluctuations between particles. This thesis explores the impact of Quantum Theory on the changing forms in sculpture art, highlighting the reflections of scientific developments on technology, industry, and consequently, social change since the emergence of this theory. Through examples, this thesis demonstrates how sculptors interpret this theory, elucidating the interaction between scientific advancements and art, and explaining how efforts to understand and express the universe manifest in contemporary sculpture forms. Key Words: Art, Sculpture, Science, Quantum, Technology.
