Evaluation of Treatmentand Treatment Results in Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinomaby New Generation Sequencing Aim: Targeted the rapeutic agents are frequently used in the treatment of non-small celllung cancer (NSCLC) in addition to conventional treatment. In this study, it was aimed to detect the mutations involved in the possible pathogenesis of NSCLC by NGS and to compare the effects of appropriate treatment options for predictive target mutations and cytotoxic treatment on progression and survival at one-year follow-up. Materials and Methods: 100 patients with advanced NSCLC were included in the study and their profiles were recorded. The patients were grouped according to the targeted treatment and classical chemotherapy. At one-year follow-up, rates of progression, survival and progression-free survival were evaluated. Results: EGFR mutation was detected in 26% of the patients. The one-year survival rate was 53.1%. The median progression-free survival was 11 months in the targeted treatment group and 7 months in the conventional chemotherapy group (p = 0.001). The rate of progression in one year was 77.6% in the conventional chemotherapy group and 61.1% in the targeted treatment group. Conclusion: Targeted therapies prolong the progression-free survival and decrease the rate of progression in non-small cell lung cancer in one year follow-up compared to conventional chemotherapy combinations. Advanced stage NSCLC pre-treatment gene analysis and targeted personalization of treatment with the drug has a positive effect on survival in patients.
