Heutagogy-based customization of user generated web page content

The main purpose of this study is to examine expert opinions on the customization of a web page content based on the Heutagogy approach, which will be created by the parent and children in the user position. In order to achieve the main goal of the research, the customization of web page content has been questioned with the following sub-questions, taking into consideration the aspects of the Heutagogy approach: (1) As problem solvers, how will parents and children become independent when choosing the path they will follow? (2) How will parents and children learn to deal with difficulties in taking responsibility for their learning? (3) How will parents and children keep their curiosity in the face of confusion and uncertainty? (4) How will parents and children learn to adapt to competencies in unfamiliar situations? (5) How will parents and children mentor each other in cultural collaboration, curiosity and communication with the outside world? This research is a qualitative case study. A focus group discussion was held in 2017 with five field experts participating voluntarily. The data obtained from the focus group interview were analyzed using content analysis and inductive analysis. According to the results of analyzes, the main themes and sub-themes of the customization of user generated web page content to be made by the parent and the children together based on the Heutagogy approach are presented.
