In this study, which aims establishing the basic program criteria for inter-city bus terminals, Profile Assessment (PA) and Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) studies have been performed for Inter-City Bus Terminal of Ankara (AŞTİ) - the complex which embodies the related criteria most extensively. In PA, areas of basic research and problematic were defined and the basic determinations for POE were made. In Investigative POE, in addition to observations and in-site evaluations, performance curriculum for each setting were established and the surveys with user groups were performed. Basic program criteria for inter-city bus terminals have been established on conclusion of these determination and evaluation studies. This process establishes a new model of architectural programming. In this model, the program criteria is obtained from a representative-occupied building which belongs to the focused building type.
