Crimes of trade and taking abroad of cultural and natural property (Art. 67/2, 67/3, Art. 68 of LCCNP)

In our thesis study titled as "Crimes of Trade and Taking Abroad of Cultural and Natural Property (Art. 67/2, 67/3, Art. 68 of LCCNP)", firstly the concepts related to cultural and natural properties are explained and then the historical development of the law relating to the conversation of these properties has been discussed. The Law on the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Property (Law No. 2863), the latest regulation currently in force under the Turkish law, which aims to conserve the cultural and natural properties has been emphasized. Some international regulations on the conservation of cultural and natural properties are also included. Later in our study, "Crimes of Trade of Cultural and Natural Property" provided by 2nd and 3rd paragraphs of Article 67 and "Crime of Taking Abroad of Cultural and Natural Property" provided by Article 68 of Law on the Conservation of Cultural and Natural Property (Law No. 2863) are examined. The study also draws attention to some recommended legislative amendments in order to increase effectiveness of the fight against these crimes and to overcome deficiencies which are determined.
