Prof. Dr. Mustafa YE NGaziantep is one of the important cities of South East Anatolian Regionwhich possesses a rich cultural heritage. In this study, products of local architecturefound in Gaziantep are studied in terms of plan types, side orders and characteristicsof used materials and after determining the ones that are functionally changedpositive and negative effects of functional changes are investigated.Data gained in this study, by providing to form an opinion about traditionalarchitecture of Gaziantep and effects of functional changes in cultural heritagebuildings on works, is aimed to give information to help for intervention,preservation and transformation of these and similar buildings.Key Words: Functional Change, Stone, Culture.II
