Buldan cloth in terms of cultural geography

The aim of the study is to investigate in detail the weaving activity and Buldan cloth, which has been done in Buldan since ancient times. Weaving is an important part of cultural identities. Each culture has developed a unique weaving tradition using their own colours, patterns and techniques. Buldan is the land of chimneyless factories. Textile in Buldan is not just a job but a way of life. It is the common lifestyle of almost all local people. Artistic studies are important in creating cultural identity. The unique weaving culture and patterns of the people of Buldan have added artistic value to weaving. We wrote our thesis based on these questions, such as the cultural characteristics of Buldan cloth, the research of the cultural meanings of the patterns, the location of the raw material, etc. The aim of the study is to reveal the weaving tradition, which is one of the rich cultural heritages that the Turkish people have developed throughout history. . Turkish culture has been shaped as a result of the migration and expansion of Turkish tribes starting from Central Asia. This culture includes many different elements such as language, music, dance, traditions, crafts, food and lifestyle. The Turks have mastered the art of weaving, which has a long history. Turkish weaving includes various products used for clothing, home textiles and ornamental purposes. It is explained how the people of Buldan, who skillfully exhibited these products and made their name known for a long time, took care of their culture and developed it so much. These weavings and the patterns that symbolize their unique Turkishness were examined by going to the study area and the study was started. In this study, the importance of local cultures is emphasized in order to protect the Turkish culture, to maintain the connection with the history, values and traditions of the Turkish people and to pass them on to future generations.
